Why not drop in to Duffy's in Louisburgh for a bit of craic!
|
This is the web site for past pupils of St. Patrick’s National School, Accony, which is located three miles west of Louisburgh on the southern shore of Clew Bay in the west of Ireland. The building has been lovingly restored as a private residence. Arithmetic continues to this day in the school as the owner, Brid Conroy, operates her successful accountancy business - ‘Accony Accounts’ - from her home. This month's featured article from the Reunion Book - Pat Conway, Askelane - 'Memory Days' + interviews with Paddy O'Toole (Roonagh), Michael Sammin, John Lyons and Michael Gibbons (Askelane) and Tommy Kerrigan (Pulgloss).
New from Robert O'Keane - Kilgeever Parish Baptism Records 1850 - 1922. Download this invaluable source of research here.

The 2009 Accony School Reunion was held on Saturday 18th July. Over 300 people attended from the villages of Accony, Roonagh, Emlagh, Pulgloss, Doughmakeon and Askelane and surrounding districts, from the UK and from the U.S.A. Brid Conroy and her lovely family threw their home open for the event and made everybody feel absolutely at home. Thank you so much! Please use our Guestbook to leave messages for other past pupils or friends, and to make suggestions about the web-site, i.e. as a central contact point. Click on "Guestbook" to see all messages and then follow the link to send us your input via Email.
All through the web-site there are pictures which are reduced in size to fit the page. Clicking on the image will take you to a new page with a full-size version.
